Janet Charbonneau enjoys taking the road less traveled. Her adventures have included blue water cruising on a sailboat for four years and traveling all lower 48 states in seven months, riding a Harley-Davidson with her Golden Retriever, Bailey, in a sidecar. She hiked 440 miles on the Camino de Santiago as her latest adventure. By day, Janet is an IT Consultant and Account Manager, but she spends her nights writing about her adventures. Janet lives in Fuquay-Varina, NC, with her Golden Retriever, Holly.
Travel along with Janet as she rediscovers herself while hiking 700 kilometers along the Camino de Santiago.
Part memoir, part travelogue The Journey Inward takes you through the preparation of this incredible journey as well as a daily trek through the ups and downs of the Camino. Sometimes depending on her strong determination to continue, Janet tackles the challenges of a hurt knee and the mental hurdles the monotonous daily hike. She delights in the new friendships that are formed along the Way. Janet’s journey continues when she returns as she watches her life change after the Camino’s magic has entered her life.
